En effet, Boorman v\u00e9cut dans les m\u00eames circonstances pendant les bombardements allemands. \u00ab\u00a0Hope and glory\u00a0\u00bb est un film nostalgique, frais et l\u00e9ger (malgr\u00e9 le sujet) car Boorman nous donne la vision d&rsquo;un enfant de sept ans, qui transforme les ruines en terrain de jeux. L\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la guerre est pour lui synonyme d&rsquo;une nouvelle libert\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong> Boorman donne \u00e0 cette exploration de ses origines une belle unit\u00e9  formelle en adoptant le point de vue de l&rsquo;enfant qu&rsquo;il a \u00e9t\u00e9. La photo  de Philippe Rousselot emploie avec bonheur des couleurs satur\u00e9es et des  perspectives \u00e9tranges pour traduire les visions oniriques du petit  Billy.  Et si Hope and Glory multiplie les changements de ton (le film  passe sans transition du sentimental au cynique, du bouffon au  solennel), c&rsquo;est parce que l&rsquo;enfance se vit ainsi: dans une perception  des choses aussi \u00e9volutive qu&rsquo;influen\u00e7able. Un parti pris de narration  qui rappelle un autre grand film autobiographique d&rsquo;un autre grand  cin\u00e9aste visionnaire: Amarcord, de Federico Fellini. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"> <strong>Le r\u00e9alisateur d&rsquo;<\/strong><em><strong>Excalibur<\/strong><\/em><strong> en  profite pour questionner sur la maturit\u00e9. Les enfants essaient de  devenir adulte (les amis de Billy   fument, marchandent pour voir les parties intimes d&rsquo;une fille, la  s\u0153ur a\u00een\u00e9 veut se marier alors qu&rsquo;elle n&rsquo;a que seize ans), pendant que  les adultes, sachant qu&rsquo;ils peuvent mourir \u00e0 tout moment, essaient de redevenir enfant. Contrairement \u00e0 ce que l&rsquo;on pourrait  penser, ce sont les actes des \u00ab&nbsp;grands&nbsp;\u00bb qui sont les plus insens\u00e9s, car  ce sont eux qui ont d\u00e9clench\u00e9 cette guerre.  Boorman critique l&rsquo;Homme dans son ensemble. Il n&rsquo;accuse pas plus les  nazis que les autres. On n&rsquo;entend d&rsquo;ailleurs assez peu parler de ces  premiers, \u00e0 part \u00e0 la radio. De plus, un seul soldat  allemand appara\u00eet \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cran <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong> Le film de Boorman est un des plus joyeux sur la guerre.L\u00e0 o\u00f9 d&rsquo;autres  se mettent \u00e0 d\u00e9baller \u00e0 juste titre image d&rsquo;horreur sur image d&rsquo;horreur  Boorman choisit d&rsquo;avouer que pour lui la guerre \u00e9tait le temps des  vacances et de la libert\u00e9, le moment o\u00f9 tous les r\u00eaves d&rsquo;un petit gar\u00e7on  se mat\u00e9rialisent devant ses yeux \u00e9merveill\u00e9s.<\/strong>(Cahier du cin\u00e9ma) <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cineclubbedarieux.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/boorman.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-688\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">  <strong>J<\/strong><em><strong>ohn  Boorman <\/strong>se frotte \u00e0 tous les cin\u00e9mas, depuis son enfance pr\u00e8s des studios de cin\u00e9ma de Londres jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 son activit\u00e9 de critique de cin\u00e9ma, et de r\u00e9alisateur de documentaires pour la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-dark-gray-color has-text-color\"> <em>C&rsquo;est en 1965 que le r\u00e9alisateur tourne son premier film <\/em><strong><em>Sauve qui peut<\/em><\/strong><em>. John Boorman part ensuite aux Etats-Unis pour r\u00e9aliser <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allocine.fr\/film\/fichefilm_gen_cfilm=12359.html\"><em><strong>Le Point de non retour<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em> avec <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allocine.fr\/personne\/fichepersonne_gen_cpersonne=426.html\"><em><strong>Lee Marvin<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em> , ses r\u00e9alisations seront irlandaises, britanniques , am\u00e9ricaines .
